Mô đun Series 90-30 PLCs Solid State Microcomputer Module GE FANUC IC693PCM300
GE FANUC IC693PCM300 , Series 90-30 PLCs , Solid-State Microcomputer Module
Product Description
IC693PCM300 Programmable Coprocessor module is manufactured by GE Fanuc and is rated as a high-performance Coprocessor for the 90-30 Modular CPUs. Note that this type of module does not work with 311, 313, or 323 CPU models. It supports C programming and MegaBasic programming languages. A free program for this module is available and can be downloaded at the GE Fanuc site. This IC693PCM300 PCM is available in 3 versions: IC693PCM300, IC693PCM301 and IC693PCM302. The modules are designed to communicate with barcode readers, printers, scales, CRTs, programming terminals and RTU master devices to mention just but a few.
During installation, The PCM is only installable in the CPU base plate with exception of slot 1 which should contain a CPU module. As stated earlier, this PCM is not compatible with embedded CPUs versions 311. 131 or 323. LED indicators normally stay on to indicate that the module is working as expected. LED US1 flashes to communicate activity in Port 1 and LED US2 also flashes to indicate activity on Port 2. When there is no activity at all, both LEDs remain OFF. It’s important to mention that users can further custom configure the function of the LEDs to suit their needs. For backup the RAM memory, a Lithium battery is installed on the inside of the PCM faceplate. For shipment purposes, the battery is disconnected and should be connected before installation of the module. When the PCM is stored for a prolonged time duration, it’s prudent to disconnect the battery unless you want to preserve the program saved in the RAM.
GE Fanuc Automation manufactures the IC693PCM300 module as a Programmable Coprocessor Module (PCM). It is a solid-state microcomputer unit that is designed for use as a coprocessor in the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLCs. Based on the applications handled by the PLC, this PCM can serve as a ASCII/BASIC Module (ABM) or as a Communications Coprocessor Module (CCM). This unit features 2 serial ports which are used as connection points for the CCM function or for running MegaBasic applications. It is simple and straightforward to install the GE Fanuc IC693PCM300 Programmable Coprocessor Module because it occupies only one slot in the Series 90-30 baseplate. However, it is essential to take precaution because it does not support hot-swapping.
Devices such as process controllers, industrial computers, and peripheral monitors communicate with the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC through the IC693PCM300 Programmable Coprocessor Module, which acts as the communication gateway or interface. Various MegaBasic operator interface functionalities like the acquisition of data, retrieval and storage of data, and computing in real-time can be configured, edited, and adapted for monitoring as well as for the control of various machinery systems and application processes through the IC693PCM300 Programmable Coprocessor Module. After every power interruption, the user memory is maintained through the internal lithium battery that comes with the module. It has 3 status LED indicators, including the “OK” LED for indicating the status of the module alongside 2 user-configurable LED indicators labelled “User 1” and “User 2.” The “OK” LED turns on when the module is working normally, it turns off when it is not working, and it flashes during the power-up diagnosis.
