About IC693PWR322
The GE Fanuc IC693PWR322 is a standard power supply. This power supply is a 30 Watt power supply that requires an input supply voltage of 24 to 48 VDC. This power supply has Three (3) outputs such as +5VDC; +24VDC isolated and +24VDC Relay output.
Each of the power supply output has specific functions. The +5VDC output is used for backplane power while the +24 VDC Relay power is used to provide output power to circuits on Series 90-30 Relay modules. The +24VDC isolated is used by some modules attached to the 90-30 backplane and also supplies external power to 24VDC 90-30 input modules.
The IC693PWR322 power supply has Four (4) Status indicators such as PWR LED, OK LED, RUN LED and BATT LED. It also has One (1) RS485 communication port which is a 9-pin sub-D connector. This port allows connection of a programming workstation, a GE Fanuc Hand-Held programmed and other devices that is compatible with RS485 communication standard.
The power supply module’s Overvoltage protection limit is 6.4 to 7 V for 5VDC output and Overcurrent protection of 4 A, maximum for 5VDC output as well. This standard power supply has a holdup time of 14 ms.
The IC693PWR322 standard power supply is designed to withstand an inrush current with maximum current value of 4A for 100 ms. It has an input power requirement of 50 Watts, maximum during full load utilization. This power supply also hosts the RAM battery. This ram bettery is utilized to retain the RAM contents. This battery may be replaced with the IC693ACC301.
The IC693PWR322 module comes with an input overvoltage protection device that is connected internally to Pin 4 of the terminal board. The pin is normally connected to Pin 3 by using a jumper strap. The IC693PWR322 module comes with a 15-Pin D-type female connector that can be easily accessed by using the hinged door on the front panel of the power supply. It also provides a means of communication to a PLC serial port that can be used for connecting with a computer or a handheld programmer device. The IC693PWR322 module has a peak inrush current of 4 Amps at 100 milliseconds maximum. The ride-through time of the power supply unit is 10 milliseconds maximum. The unit comes with a holdup time of 14 milliseconds. During the installation process, the module should be fully disconnected from the input power supply to avoid electrical damages.
