GE FANUC IC693MDL750 , 12/24 Negative Logic DC Output Module 90-30
Product Description
The GE Fanuc 90-30 IC693MDL750 is a 12/24 negative logic DC output module. This model possesses negative logic characteristic so that the current drops from loads to the negative bus power terminal or the common user. The output device is placed in between the output module and the power bus. The rated voltage required for the IC693MDL750 module is 12/24 volts DC, and the output current is a maximum of 0.3 amps per point and a maximum of 2 amps per common with a 140°F operating temperature.
The IC693MDL750 hosts a 50 -pin connector setup on its front end to make connections from output circuits to the user’s output devices. Also, it is equipped with 32 output points separated into four equal groups with eight output points, each group has common output terminals.
The field devices are operated from the external power supply by the user which can be wired to the IC693MD750 either directly or by using Weidmuller terminal block. The direct wiring method consists of the female connector at its module end and stripped wires on another end. The terminal block utilizes GE Fanuc’s cables with two connectors at each end; which connects the DIL-rail placed on the terminal block with the module connector on the IC693MD750.
The C693MD750 is compatible with load devices such as solenoids, indicators, and motor starters. There are no LED indicators on this module. However, if the user wishes to know the status of each circuit, he can set up a module with LED indicators in any of the input or output slots in 90-30 Programmable logic control system.
About IC693MDL750
The IC693MDL750 module is a 32-point I/O module. It is part of a series of digital I/O modules from GE Fanuc which are designed for use with the Series 90-30 programmable logic controllers. The IC693MDL750 module can be installed in any slot on a Series 90-30 PLC which has a 5 slot or a 10-slot baseplate. There are no LED indicators on the module. Connections from output circuits can be made to output devices through a 50-pin connector that is mounted on the front of the IC693MDL750 module. The output characteristics of the IC693MDL750 module are compatible with multiple user devices such as motor starters and indicators. Power for the user devices must be supplied by the users. The IC693MDL750 module is rated for 12 to 24 Volts DC and it is a negative logic output module. There are a total of 32 output points in 4 groups of 8. There are 2 common pins for each group.
The IC693MDL750 module sinks current from the user loads to the negative power bus or to the user common and the IC693MDL750 module therefore has negative logic characteristics. The maximum current drawn by the IC693MDL750 module is 21 milliamps (with all the outputs on) from the 5 Volts DC rated bus on the PLC backplane. The maximum output current per point is 0.3 Amps. The maximum output current per common is 2 Amps at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The value of the peak output voltage drop is 0.24 Volts. GE Faunc recommends storing unused IC693MDL750 modules at an ambient temperature ranging from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. An enclosure with an IP 54 rating should be used for housing the baseplate with the IC693MDL750 module.
