GE FANUC IC693ALG391 , 2-Channel Analog Current Output module , Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller
Product Description
IC693ALG391 is a 2-Channel Analog Current Output modulefor the Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller. It offers two output channels with each output having the ability to convert 12 bits of binary (digital) data into an analog output for use as needed by many applications. IC693ALG391 is able to give out outputs ranging from 0 to 20 mA. The converted signal has a resolution of 12 bits binary. However, the sign bit is not needed when converting the output. During each scanning process, the two channels are updated. The %AQ register has 13 essential bits that are changed to sign magnitude by the PLC and forwarded to the module. The D/A converter uses 12 of the bits while the thirteenth bit (sign) is utilized to check whether negative data has been forwarded to the module.
If IC693ALG391 receives negative data, it outputs the low end of the current range of 4 mA to 20 mA range. The software tends to reject any value more than 32767 keyed in the modules. The IC693ALG391 gives two output ranges that are 4 and 20 mA. These two output ranges have user information laid down to make sure that a count of 0 is equal to 4 mA and a count of 32000 is equal to 20 mA. Every 1000 additions equal to 0.5 mA. In case the CPU is switched to STOP mode or RESET, when measuring Current Output, 4 to 20 mA Output, 0 to 20 mA the condition of the module changes to either Default to 0/4MA or Hold-Last-State. Choosing the suitable condition is created by arranging the DEF0/4 jumper on the detachable terminal board connector on the module.
Every 2-Channel Analog Current Output can be utilized as a current source/less accurate voltage source. A voltage is an output at VOUTx which is equal to the current output. The voltage range relies on the layout of the current output range and may be added with the use of a 250-ohm resistor instead of voltage jumper. An isolated +24 VDC power supplied by the PLC power supply is the primary power source provider for IC693ALG391. There are two terminals offered to the module’s I/O terminal board for user-supplied +24 volts. These terminals are important since they offer a standby power supply to enable the outputs to retain their value when the internal supply is lost and Hold-Last-State is chosen.
When the applied voltage is higher than the isolated +24 VDC that is from 21.5 volts to 26.5 volts, the the user supply is utilized. Further, an inside voltage source of about +24V is produced within the module to run the current loop outputs. These current loop drivers are source type drivers. To reduce the loading and noise capacitive, all field linked to the module should be wired with the help of a good grade of twisted and protected tool cable connected to GND. This GND link offers access to the baseplate leading to turning down of noise. Three of Analog Current Output modules can be set up when the user given suppliers are not used to power the module.
