Ge Fanuc IC660EBA100 , Input / Output module with 4 inputs and 2 outputs
The IC660EBA100 module is a GE Fanuc Input / Output module with 4 inputs and 2 outputs. It comes with 2 block versions. We have a 115 VAC input/output block and a 24/48 VDC voltage / current block. Each circuit on the 4 input / 2 Output Analog Block, can deliver signals in the following analog ranges:
-10V DC to +10V DC
-5V DC to +5V DC
0-5 V DC
0 -10 V DC
4-20 mA/1-5 volts DC
Due to this flexibility in the above signal ranges, the module blocks can be used in wide arrays of both output and input devices.
You’ll notice LED indicators on the block for indicating how the block is running. If a block develops a fault, the OK LED blinks to give a sign of an existing fault. For certain faults, the block takes preemptive measures by cutting off the module’s output to avert hazardous incidences that could lead to further damage. This input / output module is mountable in any position. For ample heat dissipation, vertical mounting is preferred.
It is recommended that about 1.5 inches are left open between the blocks and 3 inches above and below each block. This facilitates easier removal of the block’s electronics component and provides more space for wiring especially where wires are bundled together.
If mounted in an enclosed area, it’s crucial to leave adequate space for cooling. Remember, overheating is potentially harmful to electronic components. Connections to the I/O blocks are made using Belden 9182 cables. For configuration, a hand-held monitor is attached to the block and powered on. This is followed by a series of configuration prompts. Finally, a device number is assigned to the I/O block to start configuration.
During field wiring, the I/O block is operated using a standard screwdriver for fastening and unfastening the screws. Each terminal can accommodate one AWG #12 or two AWG #14 wires. The minimum wire size that is recommended is AWG #22. Take note that unshielded wire ends do not exceed 2 inches.
About IC660EBA100
The GE IC660EBA100 electronics assembly is an electronics assembly that operates with a specific GE analog I/O block. Both of these pieces of equipment are designed and distributed by GE Fanuc Automation. This specific electronics assembly operates with a nominal block power rating of 115 Volts AC with an operating voltage range of 98 to 132 Volts AC. This block also comes with a maximum power rating of 10 VA. It is important to mention that the GE Fanuc Automation IC660EBA100 electronics assembly provides all the electronic parts that are necessary for the I/O block to operate in any compatible application. When this electronics assembly is used, it will require a terminal assembly kit with all the connections and ports that are necessary for it to operate.
The GE Fanuc Automation IC660EBA100 electronics assembly supports a block that comes with 4 input circuits and 2 output circuits. The block comes with 2 LEDs that give status updates for the unit and the status of the I/O connections. The whole block has a block-to-block isolation rating of 1500 Volts and a heat dissipation rating of 6 Watts. It is important to install the GE Fanuc Automation IC660EBA100 electronics assembly in a clean area without any hazardouds materials present in it. The temperature of this environment must not fall outside of the 0 to 60 degrees Celsius range and the relative humidity level should be between 5 and 95 percent. The thermal drift of the block is 10 PPM typical per degree Celsius. The maximum thermal drift is 40 PPM per degree Celsius. This block has an output resolution of 12 bits plus sign and an output update frequency of 4 milliseconds. The output load of the block is 2000 Ohms or greater.
