Warning: This product has specific instructions for installation, removal and operation in hazardous areas. Refer to document 12P5404 “DeltaV S-Series Digital Automation System Zone 2 Installation Instructions”. Other installation instructions are available in the “DeltaV S-Series and CHARMs Hardware Installation” manual.
Removal and Insertion
When system power is energized, an I/O card can be removed or inserted only when used with the KJ1501X1-BK1 System DC/DC Power Supply operating on 24 VDC input power with primary circuit wiring inductance of less than 23 uH, or with a certified bulk power supply with an open circuit voltage Uo of 12.6 VDC and an Lo of less than 23 uH (including wire inductance).
Note: Only one unit at a time may be removed with system power energized.
In 4-wire mode, the following additional conditions must be met to insert or remove this I/O card with system power energized:
- When field power supplied to this device, either at the field terminal or as bussed field power through the carrier is de-energized.
- When non-sparking field circuits are de-energized.
An I/O loop assessment must be completed on all energy-limited nodes.A terminal block fuse may NOT be removed with field power energized for non-sparking circuits.A rotary keying system ensures compatibility between I/O cards and terminal blocks after installation is complete. The terminal block must have the keys set for the I/O card with which it is used.
Maintenance and Adjustment
This unit contains no user serviceable parts and should not be disassembled for any reason. Calibration is not required.
