About 1747-CP3
The AB 1747-CP3 is a programmer cable for the SLC 5/03 and the 5/04 Modular Programmable Controllers. This cable connects 5/03 & 5/04 RS232 Communications Port to the DTE Device (Computer). The AB 1747-CP3 has an internal jumper on each end. The 1747-CP3 also connects the PanelView Series Component Terminal to the SLC and MicroLogix controllers. It is also called the 9-pin D Shell-to-9-pin D Shell Null Modem Cable. The length of this cable is around 3 m (9.8 ft) and it has been tested by several organizations. This cable follows the Council Directive 89/336 / EEC Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). This cable also follows some Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards. The AB 1747-CP3 has passed the EN 50081-2 EMC – Generic Emission Standard, Part 2 – Industrial Environment standard, the EN 50082-2 EMC – Generic Immunity standard, and the Part 2 – Industrial Environment standard.To avoid damage to the ESD on a computer, always connect to a properly designed DH-485 device or interface before inserting the USB cable into the computer’s USB port.
The AB 1747-CP3 is intended for use in an industrial environment. It follows the Council Directive 73/23/EEC Low Voltage, Part 2 – Equipment requirements and tests. This cable has met the safety requirements that have been set. Please refer to the Wiring and Installation Guide for Industrial Automation, 1770-IN041. If you experience problems with this cable within the first 24 hours of installation, do not forcefully remove it, as this may cause damage.
