About 1746-NI16V
The 1746-NI16V is an analog input module from the SLC 500 series of AB. It features Sixteen (16) Voltage input channels compatible fir signal voltages of ±10V dc, 1 to 5V dc, 0 to 5V dc, 0 to 10V dc.
The 1746-NI16I is a component that occupies any available slot of an SLC 500 chassis. This module may be installed to the local chassis or in the expansion chassis, to any available slot except slot 0 of the main chassis as it reserved for the controller. This module occupies only single slot of the chassis. The main chassis is the chassis to where the controller is installed.
The user configurable signal and other parameters including input filtering are accessible with the use of the RSLogix 500 programming software. This software is a separately purchased software that requires a separate activation however, it is the common programming software for the entire SLC 500 product family.
This module has a replaceable terminal with part number 1746-RT25G. Pre-wired cables may also be used with this module. These pre-wired cables are manufactured by AB with variety of lengths. These pre-wired cables may be partnered with AB terminal blocks such as 1492-AIFM8-3 and 1492-AIFM16-F-3. When these are used, errors caused by manual wiring may be eliminated as the pre-wired termination system present proper color coding of wires and easy to manage terminal block assembly.
This module is UL listed, C-UL approved and CE compliant for all applicable directives. It is also approved for use in Class I Division 2 Hazardous Environment.
The Allen Bradley 1746-NI16V is an Analog Input Module from the SLC 500 series.
