IC693MDL240 AC Input Module Plc , Input Voltage Range 0 To 132 Volts AC , Digital I O Module
Product Description
The IC693MDL240 is a 120 volt AC input module from GE Fanuc. It is for the series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controllers. This module has 16 input points that share a single common power input terminal. These 16 circuits are reactive inputs – they have a resistor and a capacitor. When there is current travelling into an input point, there will be a reading of logic 1 in the input status table (%I). The input module is functional with a range of different input devices. For example, the user can operate it with limit switches or pushbuttons, as well as electronic proximity switches.
To operate field devices with the GE Fanuc IC693MDL240, the user must supply power. The module needs AC power as it cannot operate with direct current. On top of the module, there are LEDs. These indicate the ON/OFF status of each respective input point. There are two horizontal rows on the LED block, each with eight green LEDs. The top row is labelled A1 and is for points 1 through 8. The bottom row is labelled B1 and is for points 9 through 16.
The module has a hinged door. An insert goes between the inner and outer surfaces of the door. When the door is closed, the surface towards the inside has information on circuit wiring. On the outer surface, information on circuit identification can be recorded. This is a high-voltage module, as indicated by the red color-coding on the outside left edge of the insert. The module is compatible with the Series 90-30 PLC system and so users are able to install it any I/O slot of either a 5-slot or 10-slot baseplate.
About
The IC693MDL240 AC Input Module is a discrete input module that belongs to the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 product line. It comes with 16 inputs that are arranged in 1 group with a single common power input terminal. These input circuits are resistor/capacitor reactive inputs. Some of the characteristics of the inputs are the on-state voltage of 74 to 132 Volts AC, the off-state voltage of 0 to 20 Volts AC, the on-state current of 6 milliamps, the maximum off-state current of 2.2 milliamps, the on-response time of 30 milliseconds, and the off-response time of 45 milliseconds. These input characteristics are compatible with a wide variety of user-supplied input devices such as electronics proximity switches, limit switches, and pushbuttons.
The IC693MDL240 AC Input Module has a rated voltage of 120 Volts AC, an input voltage range of 0 to 132 Volts AC, and an input current of 12 milliamps. The frequency ratings of the module are 50/60 hertz and the power consumption rating is 90 milliamps from the 5 Volts Bus on the backplane. The IC693MDL240 AC Input Module requires an AC power source. The power to the field devices must be separately supplied by the users. It shows logic 1 in the input status table if the current is into the input point. The isolation between the field side and the logic side of the IC693MDL240 module is 1500 Volts RMS. It can be installed in any I/O slot of a baseplate in a Series 90-30 programmable logic controller. A DC power source cannot be used with this module. It can expand a Series 90-30 I/O system within the plant.
