About 1746-OA8
The AB 1746-OA8 is an SLC 500 AC output module. This module is part of discrete output modules, used to energize electrical loads that operate at an operating voltage range of 85-264 VCA with frequency of 47-63 Hz. The module’s nominal output voltages are 120VAC and 240VAC and occupies a single slot of the 1746 chassis.
Each channel of the 1746-OA8 delivers a continuous output current of 1.0 A @ 30 °C (86 °F) or 0.50 A @ 60 °C (140 °F) while the maximum continuous output current per module is 8.0 A @ 30 °C (86 °F) and 4.0 A @ 60 °C (140 °F). Additionally, each channel has an ON signal delay of 1 ms for resistive load and maximum OFF delay signal of 11 ms for resistive load as well.
The 1746-OA8 draws backplane current amounting to 185 mA @ 5VDC with ON state output voltage drop of 1.50V @ 1.0 A. The module’s minimum load current is 10 mA with maximum OFF state leakage output current of 2 mA. The module’s maximum surge current per point is 10 A for 25 ms.
